Ray:
The first time I'd ever seen you, I remembered a time in my childhood that still comes to mind when ever I see you still.
You may find if humorous , so I'm going to share it.
In grade school, the 4Th grade the year had just begun, we had to stand outside the school gate before the bell & the gate then was unlocked.
That year there was a boy my age, who when I first saw him I thought I could gain his friendship. While standing outside the gate some of us put our books down on the ground while we waited for someone to come and unchain the lock on the tall gate to start in the yard.
Well this boy, "Later I found out his name was Donny" came walking towards me , I did not know him so I just looked down at his books that were there on the grass , sort of in line with others books , in a first to second order... I knew that he had stopped near me so I then look up and he said " what the f**k you looking at ?" looking dead in my eyes, This kid, I was a kid too., looking at me with these electric blue eyes slicked back hair, who I was thinking was going to be my new buddy. Just scared the sh*t out of me & I almost pee'd myself. So I quickly said "nothing" I almost said , "your books" ..., but I just couldn't. He then said " you better not"...and turned away.
I understood then that this guy was what we called a hood, cuz other guys like me were called frats.
Anyway: To this day, This boy Donny comes to mind when ever I see you.
We had rules at the school when we walked the huge brick hall that you had to stay in single file on the center line, when walking anywhere.
There was a girl , named Patsy also in the same grade, the 4Th., I kid you not she was at least 5ft tall with a 34 C breast size... honest !...Well whilst walking down threw the hall a few weeks later, there they were. Patsy & Donny beating the crap out of each other. I knew straight away that Donny must have made some wise crack about the girls chest, right, but we had to keep walking and well, that was the last I ever saw of Donny, but Patsy, the next year was in my 5th grade class.
This little event has just always stayed with me...while you Always bring it to mind.
I love watching you in films, you frighten me to death, while I sense the kindness that's just beneath the surface that's always there ...It's just a funny story to me...& my memory. It actually took me awhile to really realize that you are an actor & that there is another side to you that , well is just like me. That's why I like watching films your in...
